Sunday, January 23 – Lebanon
A young man whose father died was depressed as he tried to provide for his family, including his mother suffering chronic illness and two sisters with disabilities. After a local missionary visited him and prayed for him, he felt the power of God and joined a Bible study, and he and his entire family trusted in Christ’s saving sacrifice. Workers are also providing food and medical aid to many people, including refugees, amid severe economic crisis. The local missionaries themselves are suffering from high inflation and need donations of $60 or $120 for their monthly upkeep in order to bring God’s love to others. They request prayer for more workers to meet overwhelming needs.
“The troubles of my heart are enlarged; Bring me out of my distresses.” (Psalm 25:17)
